What is Poly-Wood?
What is Poly-Wood
Ever wonder what happens to all the milk jugs and plastic containers that have been recycled through the years? Do they really end up being re-used? Poly-Wood was born in 1990 in a garage in Northern Indiana where an innovative idea would change the face of outdoor patio furniture. Two men, Doug Rassi and Mark Phillibaum discovered the potential of plastic and it’s use for outdoor furniture applications. Poly-Wood Inc. was born when it was discovered that pellets made from recycled milk jugs could be extruded into a dense, sturdy plastic lumber that would function just as traditional lumber! Poly-Wood has shown to be unaffected by the elements of mother nature standing up to sun, rain, snow, sleet, wind, salt spray, chlorine and even mildew! The very nature of Poly-Wood keeps it from fading, the density of the lumber keeps it from being tossed and blown in the wind and assembly is completed with stainless steel hardware for durability and weather resistance! Poly-Wood only requires regular, easy cleaning with a soap and water solution to keep it enjoyable for countless seasons. Poly-Wood is available in six traditional colors as well as six bright, vibrant colors certain to accent your home’s outdoor environment.
